When someone applies for an H1B or H4 Visa,  US Consulates ocassionally forward a request to U.S. Department of State. They contact petitioners and client companies involved with visa petitions in order to verify that information presented to the U.S. Consulate is accurate and valid. 

They may contact the client Company asking some of the following Questions to verify documents submitted.

1. What is the current/ongoing relationship between XYZ Inc (Client) and ABC LLC(Petitioner/Employer)?

2. Were the attached documents signed by you and issued on behalf of XYZ Inc (Client)?

3. Mr. VKS KVR currently providing services to XYZ Inc (Client)?

They may also contact the petitioner to verify the business entity. 

 The investigation is contracted to a third party.
